Gradwell Mobile provides you with one number and one phone system, whether your using a desk phone, computer softphone or a mobile device.

You get complete Hosted PBX functionality and low cost calling across your phone system. You can seamlessly mix and match hardware across your organisation, giving some mobile phones, some fixed telephones and some softphones (or perhaps a combination of all three).

Through a powerful interface on their mobile, the web, or their computer, end users will control how they want to receive their phone calls and messages.

Gradwell Mobile integrates tightly with both our traditional Hosted PBX platform and the Gradwell One solution.

When combined with Gradwell’s Unified Comms proposition, you gain additional benefits:

• The current status of all users – are they busy, in a meeting, or available
• Busy lamps for mobiles – Intergrate with Snom phones to indicate if a colleague is talking on their mobile
• Instant messaging (IM)
• Ad-hoc conferencing, call transfer, hold from your mobile handset
• Switch devices mid-call with no disruption to caller
   

Monthly costs

Each SIM card is £10.00 per month, with a one-off £10.00 hardware charge and free delivery via Royal Mail Signed For.  Each SIM includes one geographic (01, 02, 03 or 0870) phone number.

In addition, a number of bundles and discounted tariffs are available:

• 500 SIM Minutes (?) calls to/from a mobile handset: £7.50 per month
• Bundled 1Gb Mobile Data: (?) £7.50 per month*
• Unbundled mobile data: £0.06 per MB
• SMS messages: £0.07 per message

Calls

Phone calls to and from your mobile handset and the Gradwell VoIP platform cost 3 pence per minute (ppm). To make outgoing calls, you simply add the normal call charge.

Therefore, calls outbound to UK Landlines are 4.25ppm (1.25ppm landline cost, plus 3ppm mobile charge). You can call 35 international countries for just 4.5ppm, calls to other UK mobiles are 12ppm peak, 11ppm off peak and 9ppm weekends.

Calls inbound on a UK geographic or landline number are charged at 3ppm. So, if you transfer a call from your VoIP phone to a Gradwell Mobile, the cost to you will be 3ppm.

Because Gradwell Mobile is an extension on your Hosted PBX package, any normal call bundles, such as 500 UK mobile minutes, are available for use.

Contract

All Gradwell Mobile services have a 3 month minimum contract period, with a one month rolling contract thereafter.

Landline numbers
Gradwell can transfer phone numbers from up to 30 fixed line operators, including:

• BT
• Virgin Media (Telewest)
• Virgin Meda (NTL)
• Cable and Wireless
• Gamma Telecom
• Thus
• Your Communications

Gradwell Mobile is an MVNO (?), using the 3G network provided by Three UK.

With approximately 120 new sites coming online every month and a network-sharing programme with T-Mobile allowing for greater coverage, Three have one of the most reliable and rapidly expanding networks available.

When using your handset for data, or using a mobile broadband dongle, you will be able to reach speeds of up to 14.4mbps (?).

With coverage at over 98.5%, this makes it the biggest 3G network in the UK.

Please note that roaming is not currently supported.

We do not provide handsets directly, but Gradwell Mobile works with any unlocked 3G handset. We particularly recommend Nokia E series, Android, Blackberry and Windows Mobile Phones. For a full list of compatible phones please click here.

When used in conjunction with our Gradwell One service then the following models of phone are supported:

• HTC Touch Diamond, X1 and TyTN II
• Nokia E61, E65, E71, E75, and some newer models

Please note that we can only provide standard SIM cards. We do not provide Micro-SIMs for iPhones or iPads and we are also unable to support BES for Blackberry phones at this time.

Gradwell Mobile can also be used for mobile broadband.

If you require a wireless modem for mobile broadband on your laptop, we’d recommend using the Huawei E1750 USB modem or the Sierra Compass modem, which are available from our partner Mobile Fun.
